ShopeeVIP is a paid subscription feature offered by Shopee (Thailand) Company Limited ("Shopee"). Upon successful purchase of a ShopeeVIP Package, registered Shopee users will receive certain benefits, including but not limited to, free shipping vouchers and other discount vouchers. These vouchers can be used for purchases made on the Shopee and ShopeeFood platforms in Thailand, subject to the specific terms and conditions applicable to each voucher.
By purchasing a ShopeeVIP Package, you ("User" or “you”) hereby acknowledge that you have read, understood, and irrevocably agree to be bound by the following detailed terms and conditions:
Eligibility and Validity: The ShopeeVIP package can only be purchased and used via the Shopee mobile application in Thailand. Registered Shopee users with a valid account in Thailand may purchase up to one (1) ShopeeVIP package per calendar month. The availability of packages may be subject to the number of packages available at the time of subscription. The subscription period will commence from the date the package is first purchased.
Package Activation and Voucher Crediting: Upon successful completion of the payment for the ShopeeVIP Package, the package benefits, including the associated vouchers, will be automatically credited to the User’s “My Vouchers” page within twenty-four (24) hours. Users are responsible for checking their “My Vouchers” page to confirm receipt.
Voucher Validity and Usage: Each voucher received as part of the ShopeeVIP Package will have a validity period of thirty-one (31) calendar days, commencing from the date of issuance of that specific voucher. The specific expiry date for each voucher, along with any additional terms and conditions governing its usage (including but not limited to minimum spend requirements, applicable product categories, and platform applicability), will be clearly stated under the individual Voucher Terms and Conditions accessible on the “My Vouchers” page. Users are responsible for reviewing and understanding these individual voucher terms before use.
Automatic Subscription Renewal: The ShopeeVIP subscription package will automatically renew on the same calendar date each subsequent month, based on the date of the User’s initial purchase. For example, if the initial purchase was made on the 10th of a month, the renewal will occur on the 10th of each following month. If the renewal date falls on a day that does not exist in a particular month (e.g., the 31st of April), the renewal will occur on the last day of that month.
Payment for Renewal: The payment for the renewal of the ShopeeVIP package for the next cycle will be processed automatically one (1) day before the renewal date. It is the user’s sole responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient funds in their ShopeePay Wallet, linked bank account (ShopeePay Linked Bank Account), or credit/debit card to cover the subscription fee at the scheduled time.
Insufficient Balance and Cancellation: If, at the scheduled time for automatic renewal, there are insufficient funds in the user’s ShopeePay Wallet, linked bank account (ShopeePay Linked Bank Account), or credit/debit card to cover the subscription fee, the automatic renewal will fail, and the ShopeeVIP subscription will be automatically cancelled. In the event of cancellation due to insufficient funds, the user will no longer receive ShopeeVIP benefits for the following month. If the user wishes to resume their ShopeeVIP membership, they must manually repurchase the ShopeeVIP package through the Shopee mobile application.
Subscription Cancellation by User: Users have the right to cancel their ShopeeVIP subscription at any time prior to the scheduled automatic renewal date. To avoid being charged for the next subscription cycle, cancellation must be completed at least one (1) day before the renewal date. Cancellation of the ShopeeVIP subscription will not affect the validity or usability of any vouchers that have already been credited to the User’s “My Vouchers” page as part of the current subscription cycle. These vouchers will remain valid until their respective expiry dates. If a User cancels their subscription and wishes to rejoin ShopeeVIP in the future, a User will need to manually purchase a new ShopeeVIP Package through the Shopee application, and the terms and conditions applicable at the time of the new purchase will apply.
Payment Method Restrictions: Users are unable to change their designated payment method for the ShopeeVIP subscription during an active subscription cycle. If a User wishes to change their payment method for future ShopeeVIP subscriptions, you must first cancel your current subscription. Once the current subscription period has ended, you can then resubscribe to ShopeeVIP using your preferred payment method.
Modifications to the ShopeeVIP Package and Terms: Shopee reserves the sole and absolute right to modify, alter, suspend, or terminate the ShopeeVIP feature, including but not limited to the benefits offered, the subscription fee, and these Terms and Conditions, at any time. Any material changes to the ShopeeVIP Package or these Terms and Conditions will be announced to Users through appropriate channels, such as notifications within the Shopee application or other communication methods, in accordance with the timeframe and manner prescribed by applicable laws in Thailand. The User’s continued use of the ShopeeVIP service after any such changes are implemented shall be deemed as the User’s explicit acknowledgment and unconditional acceptance of the revised terms and conditions. It is the User’s responsibility to regularly review these Terms and Conditions for any updates.
Termination of ShopeeVIP Feature: Shopee reserves the right to permanently or temporarily amend, suspend, or terminate the ShopeeVIP feature entirely, at its sole discretion, subject to providing notice to Users in accordance with applicable laws in Thailand. In the event of a permanent termination of the ShopeeVIP feature, Shopee will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers and may, at its discretion, provide a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of the subscription fee, subject to applicable laws and Shopee’s internal policies.
Non-Cancellation, Non-Refundability, and Non-Transferability: Once the purchase of a ShopeeVIP Package has been successfully confirmed and payment has been made, the purchase is final and cannot be canceled by the User. The subscription fee paid for the ShopeeVIP Package is non-refundable, in whole or in part, except as expressly stated herein or as required by applicable law. The ShopeeVIP Package and its associated benefits, including any unused vouchers, are non-transferable to any other Shopee user or account.
Relationship with Shopee Terms of Service and Policies: These Terms and Conditions form an integral part of the existing Shopee Terms of Service, which govern the User’s overall use of the Shopee platform. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these ShopeeVIP Terms and Conditions and the general Shopee Terms of Service, these ShopeeVIP Terms and Conditions shall prevail with respect to the ShopeeVIP feature. Any additional terms and conditions stipulated in Shopee’s policies, including but not limited to those governing voucher usage, promotional activities, and payment procedures, shall also be applicable to the User’s purchase and use of the ShopeeVIP Package and its benefits. Users are encouraged to review these Shopee Policies for a comprehensive understanding of their rights and obligations.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand.
Discrepancy: In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between these detailed Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, or marketing materials relating to ShopeeVIP, these detailed Terms and Conditions and/or the relevant Shopee Policies shall take precedence and shall be considered the definitive and binding terms.
By proceeding with the purchase of the ShopeeVIP Package, you signify your explicit agreement to be bound by these detailed Terms and Conditions. Please ensure that you have carefully read and fully understood all the provisions outlined herein.
